What are our thoughts on present problems?
We have many ideas and solutions that we want to share to help make this a better society and allow all people to be equal.
Gun Control:
We believe that gun control would be a bad decision because taking away people's guns would cause rebellion and outbreaks. Also, the reasons for taking away guns is for the reason that they are dangerous and oftentimes used for shootings. But realistically if we take away guns, people will find other sources of weaponry. After they find alternatives for guns the citizens will no longer have a form of protection. It also goes against the 2nd amendment that states the right to keep and bear arms. All of this considered, we will allow guns but ban all fully automatic and military grade firearms. We will ban automatic guns to citizens because there is no real reason to have one except for sport and they will still have many options of other guns to have. We will also make more restrictions on buying them. Each person must go through a background check, have a mental wellness exam, and no one who has been in jail in the past year is permitted to own a firearm.
Socialist Healthcare System:
Socialized healthcare is ideal, but in practice does not work. In many countries, socialized medicine is used and loved. The upsides are that hospital visits and medication are free. The main downside is that the doctors are not paid enough so they quit and find somewhere else to go. This provides long wait lists due to the shortage of willing doctors. If a wound is not fatal the wait can easily be up to twelve hours.
Legalization of Drugs:
We will fully legalize marijuana but for other drugs we will leave their legalization same as it has been. We will do this because if we were to make them illegal people would just sell/ buy them in the black market or in other dangerous illegal ways. Selling and buying illegal drugs can often lead to much more dangerous scenarios than them just being legal. We know this because there have been many reports of drugs being laced with another type of drug that is highly addictive. Therefore, looking at the pros and the cons of having them legal or not we believe that for the well being of our nation that it would be best to keep the same laws we already have.
Human Trafficking:
Human trafficking is exploiting a person’s basic rights and freedoms that belong to everyone from birth until death. They apply regardless of where you are from, what you believe or how you choose to live your life. We want to start a community where people can learn to help victims and to show them that we are here for them.
The Environment:
Environmental issues include pollution of our oceans, rivers, landfills, and loss of forests and natural habitats. We want to help agencies plant more trees and get rid of the trash that pollutes our world. We want to start getting people to help out as well by doing trash lines on beaches or searching the ocean for trash.
Standardized Testing:
We believe that standardized tests should be mandatory and the results should determine if you are accepted into college. If you do not pass however, you will be given the opportunity to go to a trade school and learn a profession that will still make money. This will provide students with better opportunities than just college.
Abortion:
We believe in abortion being wrong and that it is the act of murder which is illegal. Therefore, we believe that abortion should be illegal as well. There is proof and scientific evidence that proves that they are living. There is also evidence that they are human beings even at very early times in the pregnancy. People believe that women should have their own choice of whether or not to have a baby but they took the choice of having relations with a man and taking the risk to become pregnant. If they do not want the baby they have many other options as well. Those other options are putting it up for adoption, asking a family member to take the baby, etc. Many times putting up a baby for adoption gives a family that cant have their own children the chance to have a baby.
Russian Chaos Creators:
The Russian Chaos Creators are also called trolls, they have found a way to post fake news and make it seem like a real story. They post something from a journalist then a new post then finally a social media post. These trolls have been able to put little bits of info into our heads to make us not trust the government and the government to not trust themselves.
$15 Minimum Wage:
Allowing a $15 minimum wage would be detrimental to our economy. If the minimum wage were to be increased, employers would have to pay employees much more and with that price change will force companies to increase the prices on all their goods and services. In addition, small businesses who can’t afford to pay employees more may be forced to close. Which would further raise the poverty rate. Therefore, we believe that we should keep the $7.25 per hour national rate.
College tuition:
College tuition should be available for all people to attend if they want. We are starting a fundraiser to help people who can not afford to have college tuition. This will be a government funded organization. We will earn this money from fundraising and advertising. We don't want to force people to pay taxes on something that they don't want to participate in or that they may not have the money for.
